Peperoncino Authentic Italian recently expanded its establishment to bring its customers genuine Italian pizza as well as fresh, Italian regional cuisine. Hand-crafted pizzas made by executive chefs Barbara Alfano and Danilo Martorano give Peperoncino’s patrons another chance to “travel to Italy” without the airfare. The chefs have created a pizza menu that goes from the classics, such as quattro stagioni and capricciosa pizzas, to specialty ones created only by Peperoncino, such as its Pizza Peperoncino, with imported spicy Calabrese spreadable nduja sausage; the frutti di mare pizza with fresh clams, mussels, shrimp and calamari; and the one-and-incomparable Nutella pizza topped with walnuts and Grand Marnier.
The expansion will allow Peperoncino to serve a full liquor bar, as well as its all-Italian exclusive wine and beer list. Executive chefs Alfano and Martorano are committed to bringing Southwest residents only high-quality dishes created out of passion and respect for the food they grew up eating and cooking with their grandmothers — taking ancient, mostly Southern Italian dishes, modifying them with their chef’s hands for their beloved customers.
The idea is for guests to experience Italy’s wine and food culture when visiting Peperoncino. Its menu reflects the way its team enjoys a passion for eating. From appetizers to finger foods, side dishes to fresh salads; handmade pastas and risottos; fresh daily fish and seafood; local meat dishes and entrees; home made desserts; and now mouthwatering pizzas, Peperoncino is proud to bring a piece of its beloved Italy to Dr. Phillips.
Visit Peperoncino so you can experience the “passione Italiana” with which the staff proudly works every day. The restaurant opens daily at noon for lunch and dinner. Happy hour is 4-7 p.m.
In addition, Peperoncino’s small retail section filled with Italian products allows its customers to buy some of the imported items that are used in the establishment’s kitchen every day.
