YMCA Aquatic Center Gets New Name


On a bright, sunny morning on International Drive, officials from the YMCA of Central Florida renamed the aquatic center in the heart of the tourist district the Rosen YMCA Aquatic Center. The renaming was in honor of Harris Rosen, the man who spearheaded efforts to save the center from the demolition ball more than a quarter-century ago.

Omar Mateen dialed 911 and proclaimed his allegiance to ISIS moments before opening fire inside the Pulse Club and killing at least 50 and injuring another 53.
