Sexuality is a real and necessary part of human behavior. Without sex, there would be a halt in population growth. Besides, many studies have shown that a healthy sexual relationship releases stress and enhances mood and mental well-being, as well as physical health, such as an increased immune system and weight management. Unfortunately, some people may be embarrassed to address their sexuality for fear of judgment or violating a social taboo. Intimacy between couples is designed to be private and personal; however, if one wants to spice up the romance a bit, there are exciting ways to do so in a safe and tasteful manner.

decades, the 12,000-square-foot flagship store, located on Orange Blossom Trail, has offered adult toys, gifts, novelty items and videos designed to enhance a couple’s or individual’s sexual experience. Fairvilla Megastore is the brainchild of owners Bill and Shari Murphy. The couple wanted to create a retail atmosphere that would be approachable for all adults, whether they are couples or singles, male or female, young or old. The concept was well-received, and the original Fairvilla Megastore evolved into the first of its kind in the U.S. It remains a model for others in adult-industry retail. Cognizant of changing times and an evolution that is taking place in this specialized industry, Fairvilla made a concerted effort to tweak its business plan to appeal to a wider demographic. As a result, Fairvilla’s Sexy Things was introduced to Southwest Orlando as a concept store that embraces a philosophy of sexual wellness.
