West Orange Wildcat Pop Warner football player Jeffrey Rose received Academic First Team All-District and All-Region honors and was recognized as a National First Team All-American Scholar. The Southwest resident and West Orange High School student traveled to Chicago for the 2011 Pop Warner All-American Scholar Weekend, where he received a $5,000 scholarship from H.K. Anderson and met numerous NFL players. In the past year, Rose has received a total of $11,250 in scholarships from the Pop Warner program. |

Windermere Little League’s All-Stars teams had unprecedented seasons. The 9-10, 10-11 and junior baseball teams won district titles, and the 11-12 and senior divisions had representatives in the championship games. The 9-10 team also advanced to the state championship. The softball 9-10, 10-11 and 11-12 teams all advanced to their respective state tournaments, where the 9- and 10-year-olds placed first and won the 2011 Florida State Softball Championship. |

The ISM Soccer 6-under team competed in the Challenge Sports 3v3 soccer tournament held at ESPN Wide World of Sports. The boys advanced to the finals, where they placed second; however, they scored more cumalative goals than any other 6-under team at the tournament. |
