Connie Myerson graduated from the University of Miami with a doctorate in adult clinical psychology. She attended Palm Lake Elementary, Southwest Middle and Dr. Phillips High schools, and graduated summa cum laude from Florida State University. She currently lives in Chicago, where she is completing a pre-doctoral internship at the University of Chicago. Her area of interest is clinical neuropsychology, focusing on traumatic brain injury. In September, she will begin a two-year neuropsychology postdoctoral program at Hopkins University. Her proud parents are Ben and Lisa Myerson of Sand Lake Point. |

Robert and Diane Rindfuss of Sand Lake Point announced the marriage of their daughter, Elaine, to Thomas Bengtsson of Sweden. The couple were married April 2, 2011, in a sunset ceremony on the beach at Fort Zachary Taylor Historic State Park in Key West, followed by a reception at the Ernest Hemingway Home & Museum. Elaine graduated from Colonial High School and received a bachelor’s in biology from the University of South Florida and master’s in biology from Uppsala University in Sweden. Thomas graduated with a degree in systems engineering from Mälardalen University in Sweden. The couple will continue to reside in Sweden. |

The Sterling Pointe resident was one of 25 candidates selected from 130 applicants. |

She also received the top achievement award in environmental conservation. Her thesis involved writing the educational program for the future use of Henry Nehrling’s famous Palm Cottage Gardens in Gotha. |
