ACTING, MODELING, IMAGE & CONFIDENCE DEVELOPMENT CAMPS at The Maile Image, Modeling & Acting School. Summer camp classes include Image & Confidence Development, Makeup, Public Speaking, Manners, Self-Esteem & Communication Skills, Teen Modeling, Runway, Head Shots & Auditioning Techniques, On-Camera TV, Commercials, Cold Reads, Auditioning & Film Acting, and Advanced Acting Monologue & Scene Study. ACTING, MUSICAL THEATER & PRODUCTION CAMPS presented by In the Limelight at the YMCA Aquatic Center Stage. Summer camps are offered for children and teens in grades one-12. Aspiring stars learn production, acting and musical theater skills from June 14-Aug. 19. Production camps include Seussical The Musical and Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, all performed at Orlando Shakespeare Theater In Partnership with UCF. Auditions are April 15 and May 6. ACTING & PERFORMING ARTS CAMP 2011 at L.A. Acting Workshop. Six weekly camps that teach acting, singing and dancing are offered, including Despicable Me; You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown; The Smurfs; Seussical The Musical; Toy Story 3 and Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam. AQUATIC EDUCATION at Southwest Aquatics. The state of-the-art facility offers year-round swim programs for all ages, and staff members are devoted to enriching their students’ lives by instilling independence and self-confidence through swimming. Basic training teaches children as young as 6 months the essential skills of swimming. ART CLASSES at The Art Room. One-week classes held Monday-Friday are offered in morning and afternoon sessions from June 13-Aug. 12. The morning session is from 10 a.m.-noon, and the afternoon session runs from 1-3p.m. Creative topics include Lions,\ Leopards and Lizards; Mosaic Tables; Crazy Cats; and Island Daze. Students must have completed kindergarten, and registration is required.
