Fluent in English and Spanish, Carlos Jassir, M.D., D.A.A.P.M., P.A., diplomate in pain management, is the attending physician of the Pain Management Center of West Orange. He specializes in chronic pain disorders and contemporary medicine. Dr. Jassir completed his residency in anesthesiology and fellowship in obstetric open-heart surgery anesthesia at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, N.Y. He also completed a residency in anesthesia at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown, Ohio. An anesthesiologist for more than 30 years, Dr. Jassir has been a pain specialist for more than 15 years. His 17 years of medical duty in the armed forces add to his diverse background. He is a retired captain in the U.S. Navy. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Pain Management and affiliated with Health Central Surgery Center, Orlando Center for Outpatient Surgery, and Park Place Surgery Center.
