Kyle Tate of Winter Garden won the 2011 O’Brien Big Dawg Finals for male waterskiers age 35-older that was held in West Palm Beach. The international event is one of the most prestigious for the sport. Qualifiers were held in Europe and the U.S., and additional Southwest participants included Marco Bettosini of Winter Garden, Ben Favret of Gotha, Todd Ristorcelli of MetroWest, and Marc Shaw and Mike Dillinger of Southwest. Tate graduated from the University of Central Florida and University of Arkansas School of Law, and is the founder of The Tate Firm, PLLC. |

Celebration Golf Club will host a Veteran’s Day charity golf tournament Nov. 11, with proceeds benefitting the Wounded Warrior Project. The event is sponsored by the Combined Federal Campaign, and participants include representatives from Central Florida federal governmental agencies. Following the tournament, immigrants who have served in the U.S. armed forces will take the Oath of Allegiance and be sworn in as American citizens by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. |
