Keene’s Crossing Elementary

Keene’s Crossing Elementary students participated in a disability awareness week, during which they were able to engage in activities that promoted acceptance and compassion for those with disabilities. Parental ambassadors accompanied students as they progressed through stations and were able to help explain the perspective of someone with different abilities.

Lake Whitney Elementary

Lake Whitney Elementary’s 2011-12 Parent Teacher Organization board plans activities for the next school year.

Lake Whitney Elementary’s 2011-12 Parent Teacher Organization board members have numerous events planned for the school year. Upcoming activities include CSI Science Night, an art experience, a spring carnival and more.

MetroWest Elementary

For the 14th consecutive year, MetroWest Elementary received a grant from the MetroWest Master Association Inc. The school will use the $10,000 to order new document cameras to display on-screen materials and PowerPoint presentations in classrooms. The added equipment will further MWES’s ongoing technology renovation. Since 1997, MWMA has donated more than $150,000 to the school.

Spring Lake Elementary students, staff members and parents turned out in large numbers to support the school’s first 2011-12 Spirit Night at Chick-fil-A in Ocoee. SLES officials extend their gratitude to Beth Ott and her manager at Chick-fil-A.

Windermere Elementary’s Parent Teacher Organization hosted its annual Donut s for Dads event. Each year, fathers are invited to join their children for breakfast, after which they walk to class together.
