The Orange Tree Ladies Association held two events to benefit Women Playing for T.I.M.E., which supports M.D. Anderson Cancer Center — Orlando. OTLA’s bingo night and garage sale raised more than $1,800, which will be used toward WPFT’s mission of technology, immediate diagnosis, mammography and education. Orange Tree residents Cheryl George and Jeannette Lawrence served as co-chairwomen for the events. |

Dirk and Betsy Story of Palm Lake announced the engagement of their daughter, Kaitlyn, to John Mielke, son of Joseph and Melissa Tighe of New Jersey, and the late Alvin Mielke. Kaitlyn received a master’s in education from the University of Florida, and she teaches at Lake George Elementary School in Orlando. John earned his undergraduate degree at William Paterson University, and he is pursuing a Master of Science in Internet marketing at Full Sail University. A June 16, 2012, wedding at Cypress Grove Estate House is being planned. |

Robert “Bobby” Olszewski attended the facility dedication of Clean the World Inc., a nonprofit organization that collects and recycles soap and shampoo products from the hospitality industry, and then distributes the hygiene products to people in homeless shelters and impoverished areas. Clean the World is headquartered in Orlando and, since its inception, has provided more than 4 million soap bars and 200,000 pounds of shampoo and conditioner to people in need. |

Robert “Bobby” Olszewski was named to the Sports Marketing & Media Advisory Board at Full Sail University. The Sterling Pointe resident is a former sports agent who represented professional athletes, including PGA players Lee Janzen, Frank Lickliter II and Tim Petrovic, and supercross/motocross champion Ricky Carmichael. Bobby previously worked for LPGA Tour’s Ginn Open, Florida Citrus Sports and the University of South Florida athletic department, in addition to serving as a board member and the national spokesperson for the Butkus Award presented by the Downtown Athletic Club of Orlando. |
