Members of American Heritage Girls Troop No. 2911 participated in downtown Orlando’s Veterans Day parade that was held last month. The girls rode on a boat float that was decorated in red, white and blue; waved American flags; sang patriotic songs; and threw red, silver and blue beads to attendees.

Kathy Baldwin joined the staff at Heart of Florida United Way as a resource development account executive. The Southwest resident has 15 years of experience in sales, marketing and managing, as well as nine years of experience in nonprofit management. She is responsible for supporting HFUW’s annual workplace campaign. Previously, she served as executive director of The Gift of Swimming.

Central Florida Women’s League members served Thanksgiving dinner to about 75 people at the Eatonville Boys & Girls Club. Coordinated by Director Austin Long, this was the first Thanksgiving dinner for the new Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida location.

Central Florida Women’s League members met for the third luncheon of the fiscal year at Timpano Chophouse on Sand Lake Road. The event included a designer purse auction that raised $7,000 to be used toward CFWL’s fundraising goal.
