Montessori World School offers a hands-on scientific camp for children ages 4-12.

SUMMER CAMPS at Montessori World School, 11659 Ruby Lake Road, Orlando, 407-239-6024, www.montessoriworldschool.com, offer children ages 4-12 a hands-on science exploratory experience through its partnership with Mad Science. Campers discover how science affects all aspects of daily life. Sessions are Monday-Friday, June 18-Aug.10. Half days are held from 9 a.m.-noon; full days are from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.; and before- and after-care are available. Campers are asked to bring lunch. Camp will not take place July 2-6.

My Gym Children’s Fitness Center offers a variety of camping activities, including gymnastics.

SUMMER CAMPS at My Gym Children’s Fitness Center, 7551 W. Flexible enrollment allows parents to choose any combination of days to fit their schedules. Camps run June 12-Aug. 17 on Wednesday and Friday for ages 3-8, and Tuesday and Thursday for ages 6-11. Camps at Orange County Regional History Center take children on adventures through their imagination.

SUMMER CAMPS at Orange County Regional History Center, 65 E. Central Blvd., Orlando, 407-836-8580, www.thehistorycenter.org/education/youth/camp, are sponsored by Orlando Federal Credit Union. Campers choose from a different themed week, including pirates, superheroes, crime scene investigators, wizards and more. Camps, which cost $110 per week for members and $140 for nonmembers, take place June 11-Aug. 17 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Early drop-off at 7:30 a.m. and extended day to 6 p.m. are available for $10 per day, per child.

Premier Academy offers campers a uniquely themed summer experience.

www.premieracademyschools.com. Children ages 18 months-7 experience creative fun in uniquely themed camps, including Gymboree Adventure Camps. Seven weekly sessions, which run from 8:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., begin June 18. Extended care is offered until 5:30 p.m., if needed. Surfguys Surf School teaches ocean
safety and stances.

SURFGUYS SURF SCHOOL, celebrating 15 years of quality service, is holding surf instruction in south Cocoa Beach and Melbourne Beach from 8-11 a.m., Monday-Thursday, for age 6-adults. Parents are welcome. Professional staff members teach students marine and ocean safety, stance, wave and board safety, and surfing fun, as well as stand-up paddle surf training. The ratio is a maximum of four students per instructor. Tours, private and group lessons are also available. The cost is $200 per person, with a required $100 deposit. TECHNOLOGY CAMPS offered at iD Tech Camps and iD Teen Academies, 888-709-8324, www.internaldrive.com, give children ages 7-17 who enjoy gaming, programming or filmmaking, the opportunity to create iPhone applications, programs, video games, websites, movies, robots and more. Weeklong and residential camps are available at more than 60 universities nationwide, including Rollins College, the University of Miami and more. Small classes are taught by adults for personalized instruction. Teen programs, such as iD Gaming Academy, iD Programing Academy and iD Visual Arts Academy are offered at select universities.
