The Rev. David Netzorg launched Emmaus Church on West Colonial Drive in Winter Garden. The multigenerational church holds worship services each Sunday at 6 p.m. David attended Reformed Theological Seminary, where he received his master’s in biblical studies, including biblical languages. He is an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church in America. Combined, he and his wife, Katrina, have six children and one grandchild, and they reside in Winter Garden. |

A Local Folkus LLC, producer of the Winter Park Harvest Festival, partnered with the city of Winter Garden and Slow Food Orlando to hold the inaugural Winter Garden Harvest Festival on May 5 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. in downtown Winter Garden. The event will include a local, producer-only farmers market; craft vendors; farm- and food-related demonstrations; family-friendly activities; live entertainment; and more. The festival will be followed by the Farm to Table Dinner that will take place from 7-10 p.m. in the downtown pavilion. The dinner will highlight west Orange County chefs, local farm-fresh ingredients, wine, Central Florida micro brews, and more. The cost is $75 per person, which includes drinks, tax and gratuity, or $550 for a table of eight.
