Brenda DeForrest, O.D., is Florida board-certified and has taken over the practice of Burton Ersoff, O.D., of Visions Optical in Southwest Orlando. She offers complete adult and pediatric eye care, including optical and contact-lens fittings, Lasik evaluations, diabetic retinopathy evaluations and glaucoma treatment. Dr. DeForrest attended the University of Florida and New England College of Optometry, graduating with honors. She completed internships around the world, including Jerusalem; Boston; Albuquerque, N.M.; and Atlanta. She completed her residency, specializing in ocular disease and postoperative care, at the Magruder Eye Institute in 1990. Robert J. Kraut, M.D., is a board-certified ophthalmologist who is fellowship-trained in medical and surgical retinal diseases. He earned his bachelor’s at the University of Pennsylvania. He attended New Jersey Medical School and was chief resident at the Friedenwald Eye Institute in Baltimore. Dr. Kraut completed a two-year vitreoretinal fellowship at Louisiana State University. He has practiced in Orlando since 1999. Dr. Kraut is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and American Society of Retina Specialists.
