David D. Dore, M.D., is board-certified in orthopedic surgery and specializes in minimally invasive surgeries, including total-knee, -hip and unicompartmental replacements. He has extensive training in the diagnosis and treatment of arthritis of the hip and knee. He completed a one-year accredited fellowship in joint replacement surgery at the University of Pittsburgh, also receiving extensive training in failed joint-replacement and osteonecrosis. Since 1993, Dr. Dore has practiced in Central Florida, specializing in adult reconstruction. He has published several articles, chaired regional meetings, and presented and moderated at national meetings on total-joint replacement.

Matt Johnston, D.O., Medical Director

Matt Johnston, D.O., grew up in South Florida and attended Trine University, formerly Tri-State University, in Indiana. He obtained his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at Nova Southeastern University. He completed his traditional internship and orthopedic surgery residency training at Ohio University. He recently received postgraduate fellowship training in arthroscopic sports medicine and adult hip and knee arthroplasty and reconstruction at Florida Orthopaedic Institute. He is a member of the American Osteopathic Association and American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopaedics.

Stephanie Lyons, M.P.T., C.K.T.P., holds a master’s in physical therapy and bachelor’s in health studies. She received her degrees from Utica College of Syracuse University and has practiced as a physical therapist since 2002. Lyons specializes in orthopedic and manual physical therapy. Prior to working in Florida, she worked in central New York and Vermont, where she became a certified kinesio tape practitioner. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and Kinesio Taping Association.

Dr. Smith is a member of the North American Spine Society, and a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American College of Surgeons and Society for Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery. Faissal Zahrawi, M.D., F.A.C.S., Medical Director |
Faissal Zahrawi, M.D., F.A.C.S., is board-certified in orthopedic and spinal surgery. His expertise and interests are in minimally invasive surgery of the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine. He has extensive training and more than 25 years of experience in spinal surgery and spinal deformity. After graduating from medical school, Dr. Zahrawi began his orthopedic surgery training at St. Luke’s Hospital and Case Western Reserve University Hospital. After his residency, he completed a fellowship at the Alfred I. duPont Institute in scoliosis and children’s deformity. Upon completion of his fellowship, Dr. Zahrawi practiced spinal surgery for 25 years at the Hillcrest Cleveland Clinic. Since 1985, Dr. Zahrawi has been one of the pioneers of minimally invasive and microsurgery of the spine. He has published many articles, presented papers and exhibits across the country, and authored teaching videotapes for microsurgery of the spine. Dr. Zahrawi is the medical director of the Spine Center at Florida Hospital Celebration Health.
