Clerk’s Office Opens New Sand Lake Service Center

Southwest resident and Clerk of Courts Tiffany Moore Russell and Orange County Tax Collector Scott Randolph officially opened the clerk’s office new Sand Lake service center, located at an existing tax collector’s office in south Orange County. Randolph invited the clerk’s office to move into the site last year, allowing the clerk’s office to expand services to customers in south Orange County for little to no cost for the space.

The center will offer driver’s license reinstatements, receive payments for fines, process marriage license applications, and more. Student Art Exhibit in Windermere

Rotary Club of Windermere will host its annual juried student art exhibition, sponsored by Art Systems of Florida, on April 2 and April 3 at The Pines of Windermere, 3409 Maguire Road, Windermere. Doors will open from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on both days.

The artwork is a compilation of both 2-D and 3-D works for three divisions: elementary, middle and high school. Twenty-three school divisions have signed up to display their students’ artwork, which will be housed in an air-conditioned exhibition hall.

While attendees view the art, they can also enjoy Windermere Spring Fest activities, including food, local bands, children’s rides and games, a talent show and annual boat show along the shores of Lake Down.

Blood Center calls for donors

The supply of blood has reached extremely low levels because of high usage at area hospitals. An immediate appeal is being issued for blood donors to donate at OneBlood, the local blood center, as soon as possible. Donated blood will help  ill or injured patients within a few days. Generally healthy people age 16-older who weigh at least 110 pounds can donate. There are eight different blood types, and each one holds a unique power to save lives.

MasterChef auditions coming to Orlando

Officials from the TV show MasterChef are calling all home cooks to audition for the program’s eighth season. The casting team is seeking home cooks who enjoy preparing everything from delightful desserts to hefty main courses to fine French cuisine, great tasting burgers and more.
