Platelet Rich PlasmaPlatelet-rich plasma, or PRP, is composed of concentrated, autologous platelets suspended in a small amount of plasma after centrifugation. More simply put, PRP comes from a patient’s own blood. It is unique to them and is therefore more easily assimilated by the body after being prepared through a centrifuge and injected into the patient’s target area.

The science behind PRP lies in the presence of growth factors, fibroblasts and collagen-rich substances found in the plasma. Activated with calcium chloride, or thrombin, the platelet-rich plasma triggers the stimulus that promotes cells to form new growth stem cells that rejuvenate the injected area.

PRP therapy treatments can help patients with a variety of needs, including face-lifts, sexual rejuvenation and joint injury healing. It can also be used on individuals who want treatments for face and neck rejuvenation, such as for wrinkle reduction, face-lifts or to improve the overall appearance of the skin.

PRP for sexual rejuvenation is when PRP is injected into the male or female sexual regions to improve blood flow, sensitivity and improve any age-related or other sexual dysfunctions. This improves the sex life of the patient and allows him/her to enjoy more of what a healthy, vibrant sex life can provide.

When it comes to joint injury, surgical procedures involving joints and bones, and other similar conditions, PRP is a natural treatment that will help the body recover faster and get the patient back out there doing his/her thing. The best way to find out if PRP is right for you is to schedule a consultation with a qualified provider. 💓
