At a recent Central Florida Hotel & Lodging Association Membership Luncheon, held at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress, the CFHLA Foundation distributed $100,000 in Central Florida hospitality student scholarships. For the third consecutive year, CFHLA awarded a Don and Lorraine Freeberg Foundation “Full-Ride” $40,000 student scholarship to a local high school senior who will be attending the University of Central Florida Rosen College of Hospitality Management after graduation. This year’s full-ride scholarship was awarded to Caitlin Walsh of Dr. Phillips High School.

More than 30 high school seniors receive hospitality scholarships from the Central Florida Hotel & Lodging Association Foundation.

In total, more than 30 local high school and college hospitality students were awarded scholarships, ranging from one-time $1,000 scholarships to multiyear $2,000-$6,000 scholarships. CFHLA also awarded community hospitality education grants to UCF Rosen College of Hospitality Management, Valencia College, Orange County Public Schools, and Orange Technical College. 💓
